Contributions to Education: American Fidelity Assurance Company

American Fidelity Assurance Company is committed to supporting the communities in which we do business. Cash contributions, volunteer time and sponsorships are made to support a variety of worthy causes and non-profit organizations. We are extremely proud of our dedication and enjoy the gratification of helping our community as participants in and sponsors of these events.

Though American Fidelity is involved innumerous community activities, the following highlights our support of public education.

Jim Thorpe Association – as a Gold sponsor of the Jim Thorpe Association, American Fidelity helps the association focus on programs and services that promote achievement, academics, health and fitness in our communities and schools and encourages participation in programs such as the Drug Free Red Ribbon Celebration, the Bright Path Club in Elementary Schools, the Children’s Track Festival, Elementary School ArtFest, High School All Star Football and Basketball games and the High School Scholarship Awards Lunch.

Oklahoma State Fair Scholarship Program – As a partner with the State Fair, annual $2,500 scholarships are awarded to Oklahoma High School Seniors. The sponsorship also allows us to support the Oklahoma State Board of Education’s “Teacher of the Year” program.

Oklahoma State University Athletic Academic Awards Banquet – American Fidelity is proud to be the underwriter of this event that honors OSU’s student athletes who have a minimum of 3.0 GPA, the student athlete with the highest GPA in their respective sport and the male and female student athlete with the highest overall GPA.

Christmas Connection Back to School Connection – Before each school year, American Fidelity partners with the Christmas Connection to hold a school supply drive to help area children in disadvantaged schools.

East Central University Foundation – Each year East Central University hosts a Science Fair in which state Junior High and High School Students compete. American Fidelity is proud to underwrite a category in both the Junior High and High School levels and provide the winners with $1000 savings bonds.
