Earning And Redeeming WorldPoints® Rewards

 

Is there a limit to the number of Points I can earn?

No. You can continue to earn NEA Points throughout the year, and carry them forward from one year to the next. Points expire 5 years from the end of the month in which they were earned.

 

Who can redeem my Points?

Cardholders, joint cardholders, and authorized users may redeem Points.

 

What is the minimum number of Points I need before redeeming?

You can redeem with as few as 2,500 Points for cash or merchandise rewards.

 

When will my Points expire?

Points expire five years from the end of the month in which they were earned.

 

How will I know how many Points I have accumulated?

Your Points total appears online when you sign into Online Banking and is on your monthly billing statement.

 

How do I redeem my Points?

NEASM Platinum Plus® Credit Card With WorldPoints® Rewards:

You may redeem Points for cash, travel and merchandise rewards online at www.bankofamerica.com/worldpoints, or by contacting the Rewards Center at 1-800-434-8313, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Eastern Time.

 

NEASM Accelerated Rewards® Amercian Express® Card:

You may redeem Points for cash, travel and merchandise rewards online at www.bankofamerica.com/rewards, or by contacting the Rewards Center at 1-888-257-8425, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Eastern Time.

 

When will my Points balance update after making an online redemption?

Your Points balance will be updated to reflect recent activity and redemptions within 5 business days.

Cash Rewards

 

What is the minimum cash redemption level?

You can redeem 2,500 Points for a $12.50 reward check.

 

Can anyone redeem cash rewards?

Cardholders, joint cardholders, and authorized users may redeem Points for cash rewards. The reward check will be made payable to and mailed to the primary cardholder.

 

When can I expect my reward check, once I've requested it?

The check will be mailed to the primary cardholder’s billing address via first-class U.S mail within 14 business days of receipt of the request.

What brand-name merchandise is available through this program?

Many brand-name products are available, including Sony® and Bose® electronics, KitchenAid® appliances, Callaway®, Ping®, and Taylor Made® golf equipment, Waterford® crystal, Nikon® cameras, Coach® and Dooney & Burke® purses, Black and Decker® tools, and so much more!

During which hours may I redeem my Points for travel?

NEASM Platinum Plus® Credit Card With WorldPoints® Rewards:

You can redeem online or call 1-800-434-8313 and select option 2, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

NEASM Accelerated Rewards® Amercian Express® Card:

You can redeem online or call 1-888-257-8425 and select option 2, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

How much advance notice do I need to redeem Points for travel?

Domestic and international air travel reservations must be made at least 21 days in advance and include a Saturday night stay. Car rental and hotel reservations in the U.S. must be made at least 7 days in advance.

 

Who are the travel partners?

The program is not limited to specific travel partners. You choose the destination and travel dates, and the rest will be taken care of for you, subject to availability.

 

Are there blackout dates for travel?

Absolutely not. This program allows you to travel on holidays, weekends, and during other busy days throughout the year, subject to availability.

 

What if the requested ticket is over the maximum value allowed?

You may either charge the difference to your NEASM Platinum Plus® Credit Card With WorldPoints® Rewards or your NEASM Accelerated Rewards® American Express® Card and earn Points for the transaction or you may redeem additional Points in increments of 5,000 (equivalent to a maximum dollar value of $50) to cover the difference in cost.

 

Can I combine my Points with my frequent flyer program?

No, Points may not be combined with any other program.

 

Can I fly first class?

You can redeem your Points for first or business class.

 

What are the airline first-class WorldPoints reward levels?

Airline first-class round-trip ticket reward levels and corresponding maximum dollar values are:

Can the MyConcierge service help arrange dinner reservations when I am traveling abroad?

Yes, whether dining in the U.S. or abroad, the MyConcierge service is available to help make restaurant suggestions and reservations at the hottest spots in town.

 

What services are available through the MyConcierge service?

The MyConcierge service offers many customized services including: assisting with dining arrangements and reservations, gifts and personal shopping, ticket source for sporting events, concerts and shows, unique transportation arrangements, and more!

 

Can the MyConcierge service provide access to special events?

Yes. The MyConcierge service can help arrange access to sporting events, concerts, theater tickets, and other activities of interest. The MyConcierge staff has access to the year’s hot events including: Cirque de Soleil’s O in Las Vegas and The Producers in Los Angeles.
