Applying for your NEA Personal Loan or NEA Line of Credit

How can I apply for an NEA Personal Loan or NEA Line of Credit account?

You can apply by phone at 1-866-266-0211 and mention priority code UABJRV for the NEA Personal Loan and priority code UABJRT for the NEA Line of Credit. Hours of operation: Mon-Thu 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. ET, Fri 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. ET.

You may also apply by fax using a printer-friendly PDF application (available for the NEA Personal Loan).

What information do I need to provide when applying?

Bank of America will ask for information about yourself, the type of account and amount you are requesting. Sometimes additional information will be requested in order to complete the application. If you wish to directly pay off other creditors with your NEA Personal Loan, you will need to provide that information as well on the application.

When will I receive my funds?

You will receive checks in your Welcome Package within 7-10 business days. If you choose for Bank of America to pay a creditor directly, this process occurs within 15 business days.

I’ve almost paid off my NEA Personal Loan but I’d like to consolidate additional debt. Do I need to apply for a new loan?

How can I check my account?

You can check the status of your NEA Personal Loan account online through NEA Online Banking. Or you may call Bank of America at 1-800-525-1211 to check your NEA Personal Loan or NEA Line of Credit Account.

How do I contact customer service?

If you are calling from within the United States, please call Bank of America at 1-800-525-1211, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

How can I get a copy of my statement?

You can review copies of your 12 most recent NEA Personal Loan statements online and free of charge through NEA Online Banking. If the statement you need is older than 12 months, you can use the online form located in NEA Online Banking to order a paper copy (sent to your account address). A $5.00 service charge will be billed to your account for each copy you request. Of course, if Bank of America finds that no statement was generated in a requested month, they will notify you of this and your account will not be charged for that copy. Or you may call Bank of America at 1-800-525-1211 with your request.

Whom do I contact about billing inquiries?

If you have a billing inquiry or dispute, complete a copy of the form on the back of your statement and mail it to Bank of America, P.O. If you have questions about customer service, delivery, or the return of something you bought, you need to contact the company from whom you made the purchase, not Bank of America. You should allow 30 days from the date the company receives a return for the credit to be processed on your account. Many purchase agreements specifically exclude shipping and handling on returns, so you may find that your refund does not include shipping and handling.

How can I get a copy of my credit report?

You can obtain a copy of your credit report online from any of the three major credit report agencies: Equifax, Experian, or Trans Union. Or you can call 1-888-567-8688 to reach any of these three agencies and to request your credit report by mail.
