In this activity, students (grades K-2) understand and experience the concept that when we exercise our bodies work harder. This makes our hearts beat faster requiring more oxygen that causes us to breathe harder.

In this lesson, students (grades 3-5) are involved in an activity that keeps them moving for an extended length of time, thus working on cardiovascular endurance.

By the end of these lessons, students in grades 6-8 will be able to participate in a group/team activity of their own design in order to work to achieve an overall goal.

In this activity, students learn about the role of mitochondria in a cell's energy production. Recommended for grades 9-12.
