Royalty-free clip art

This disk contains royalty-free illustrations and photos you may use without charge. We encourage you to use your own pictures to help illustrate your subject matter. Images from digital cameras can be easily downloaded to your computer for use in newsletters and brochures.

In addition to the artwork found on this disk, MS Word has a wide range of stock photos, illustrations and graphics, right within the program. To access them:

1. Go to the MS Word Menu Bar and select Insert > Picture > Clip Art.
2. The MS Word Clip Art Gallery will open, showing multiple categories of illustrations and photographs.

The internet is also a good source of free (or at least inexpensive) artwork for use in your communications. Go to any search engine such as Google or Yahoo!, and type in "free clip art" and hit Enter. Just be sure you download artwork with adequate resolution for the size for which you will be using it.

If artwork prints out "blocky" or "pixelated," go back and download a higher resolution version or, if one is not available, pick a different piece of art with adequate resolution. Although "low-res" images may look fine on-screen, they seldom are adequate for a printed piece.
