NEA MEMBER BENEFITS: WEB PRIVACY STATEMENT

This Web Site is published and maintained by NEA's Member Benefits Corporation (NEA MB), a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Education Association (NEA).

This NEA MB Privacy Statement is intended to provide NEA Members and the users of the NEA MB Web Site with our policy regarding data supplied by NEA members when visiting the site.

The NEA MB web server automatically recognizes and records domain names and site statistics in aggregate.  Statistics that are gathered via site utilization are captured in aggregate and not on an individual basis. The aggregated statistics are used to improve site navigation and content delivery on the NEA MB Web Site.

Personal Information and How It is Used

NEA Member Benefits values the privacy of NEA members, and we believe that the best way to serve you on the Internet is with honesty, accountability and self-regulation. We are sensitive to the issues of privacy and have structured our on-line activities to protect your privacy and let you be in control of what information you choose to disclose.

When you register on the web site as a member of the NEA, you provide your name, address, login name and password, and home email address. This information is collected on the registration form for future personal identification and to communicate with you electronically to announce future NEA MB Programs and web site enhancements.

All personal data is kept secure and confidential and is protected against unauthorized access. In connection with our provision of member benefits, NEA Member Benefits may share the personal information that we collect about you, with NEA, NEA’s state and local affiliates and NEA-related organizations, as well as third parties that perform services on behalf of NEA Member Benefits.  Additionally, NEA Member Benefits may share any of the personal information that we collect about you with certain third parties that share NEA’s interests or as otherwise permitted by law.

Web Surveys

NEA Member Benefits values your opinions and comments, so we periodically conduct online surveys. The surveys are entirely optional for all members. The information collected is aggregated and used to help improve NEA MB products and services and to develop appealing Web Site content and features. 

Web Giveaways

NEA MB may, from time to time, sponsor giveaways to give NEA Members an opportunity to win prizes. Contact information collected during the Giveaway registration is used to notify giveaway winners.
