INSURANCE

 

NEA Members Insurance Trust Programs
In response to the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy, the NEA Members Insurance Trust is offering a premium waiver to NEA members who were victims of Hurricane Sandy and who participate in the NEA Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, or Medicare Supplement programs. Participating members in the FEMA declared Major Disaster Areas must call the NEA Members Insurance Trust by February 1, 2013 to request the waiver of premium. Premiums will be waived for one full year. Participating members should call 1-866-486-1951 to request the premium waiver.

 

NEA® Auto & Home Insurance Program – California Casualty  (Updated)
Agents are available 24 hours a day at 1-800-800-9410. You can also learn more at the California Casualty catastrophe center.

  • Reporting Serious Claims: If ou have a serious bodily injury claim or an emergency homeowner claim, please contact California Casualty 24 hours a day at 1-800-800-9410. The call will be transferred immediately to a claims representative. (After regular business hours, the call will be routed to an on-call claims representative for immediate assistance.)

  • Reporting Minor Claims: If you have a minor, non-injury claim, the claim will be handled during regular business hours at 1-800-800-9410 or online at: http://www.calcas.com/web/ccmc/claims

 

Individuals insured by the NEA Auto & Home Insurance Program also have as an added benefit an Identity Document Recovery Service at no cost (provided through Identity Theft 911®). This service includes post-disaster assistance with emergency authentication and assistance accessing, protecting and reassembling financial, credit and employment data and files. Insured members who wish to access this service should call 1-800-800-9410 and ask for a customer care specialist. This will be their point of contact in dealing with all relevant agencies, institutions and organizations.
